RM Designer is a content sequencing and authoring tool created for the AV professionnals, designers and multimedia artists. Using a node based architecture; it is designed for generative and real-time graphics, allowing the creation of impactful content pieces and their deployment on RM Media Servers.
Assets can be managed either visually by using the Timeline Editor or by using the node based Graph Editor. The Timeline is a visual and an intuitive tool to manage assets such as images, videos or generative content. Tracks can be blended together and graphs parameters can be modified and animated through time. The Graph Editor is designed for programmers and more tech savvy content integrators allowing a more refined control on assets and generative content management.
SICK Air scanner devices are supported in RealMotion™ and in conjunction with the Blob Tracking tool can create an interactive multi-touch surface mostly anywhere. RealMotion™ can also receive information from multiple Sensors, blending the data together and creating a uniform touch surface. Generated touch events are available throughout the pipeline or external content tools.
Multitouch Frames & TUIO Protocol Support
Multitouch Frames and TUIO protocol can send their data to RealMotion™ allowing touch interaction with generative or interactive content. Points can be tracked using Blob Tracking tool and generated touch events available throughout the pipeline.
3D Cameras: Kinect, OpenNI
RealMotion™ supports 3D Depth cameras such as the Microsoft Kinect1 as well as OpenNI. Color, Depth, User ID, Silhouettes and Skeletons data is retrieved and generated.
2D Cameras: uEye
RealMotion™ supports the range of uEye 2D Cameras products. UEye cameras are stable, connect over network and have infrared capabilities.
RealMotion™ multithreaded video decoding capacities enable it to take full advantage of the processing power of multi-core CPUs architectures in order to provide Ultra-HD video resolutions.

RealMotion™ is compatible with content management systems. XML files are supported and allow remote controlling of projects by adding the XML Reader box to the data pipeline. Folder View allows monitoring of a given folder or files on the local (or network) file system identifying changes or updates to content files in real-time. This allows remote updates to a project asset.
RealMotion™ comes with a full featured version of Chromium, the same web rendering engine behind your favorite browsing engine Google Chrome, allowing rendering and debugging of HTML5 based content.
The Surface Mapping tool allows you to define and manage 2D surfaces that can be referenced and reused within the whole project. Regardless of changes to the project resolution or display size, the surfaces maintain their relative positioning and aspect ratio. For instance, it can facilitate the process of drawing content on specific region of a content buffer. It can also help you automate the rendering of many sources to different regions of the screen. RealMotion™ integrates multiple tools around the Surface Mapping feature, such as the Surface Mapping Editor, the Surface Mapping box and the Draw Surface box.
RealMotion™ integrates various tools for manipulating non-aligned projectors such as Keystoning, Blending, Overlapping and Warping. The Projector Keystone tool for instance allows correcting unaligned projectors. The Warp Grid tool allows correcting unwanted curves or deformation on the projection physical surface. The Blending and Overlapping tools are designed to calculate the necessary content duplication required for a given overlap percentage.
To accelerate the production of projects, RealMotion™ integrates numerous Templates and Visual Effects Examples. Throughout the project pipeline, these Templates and VFX Library allows you to quickly add fully functional and pre-configured visual effects without having the burden of reinventing them. They can be used as a starting ground for your next creative idea, saving you time and money.
RealMotion™ embeds a LUA Scripting Editor featuring real-time compilation for faster coding and debugging. The purpose of the scripting language is to extend the functionalities of the platform by creating custom logics and advanced control or gameplay mechanisms.
Online documentation and user guides are accessible on the website providing updated documentation. Tooltips and full documentations are also integrated in the software.
