Powered by our G8 media server, the nightly spectacle in the interior arched entry hall of the Brooklyn Paramount Theater is nothing short of breathtaking, thanks to the projection mapping that brings the ceiling to life before every show. However, achieving seamless edge blending along the unique architectural details of the arched ceiling posed a significant challenge. To overcome this obstacle, Realmotion partnered with Scalable Displays, a software solution utilizing computer vision technologies to automatically process the blending and mapping of multiple projectors to set configurations. Together, we developed an integrated, time-efficient solution tailored to multi-projector projects.
This new integration with Scalable Displays streamlines the setup process for multi-projector configurations in Realmotion projects, eliminating the time-consuming manual calibration process. Realmotion sends a unified surface containing the output of all projectors to Scalable Displays who then applies precise corrections to ensure seamless edge blending and returns the corrected surface for final output. These refined outputs are then seamlessly split by the video controller, ensuring a flawless visual experience across all projectors.
The integration also offers simplified recalibration should any of the projectors be shifted due to maintenance or other reasons.
